In this post we have decided to name the top 10 best music producers in Nigeria 2018 as they are the ones behind the beats and general production of those hot Nigerian songs that are on repeat in our music playlist.

Producers work on hit singles are often overlooked, music lovers forget that without the producer delivering that scintillating beat and fine-tuning the sound where it needs to be fine-tuned, many of the hit songs we vibe and dance too won’t probably go beyond their door-step.

Moremusicng bring you the top 10 best music producers in Nigeria 2018;

10. Pheelz

There is doubt that YBNL in-house producer, Pheelz has always been on at the very top of his game, being among the best music producers in recent years, however he was a bit overshadowed in 2018 and had fairly quiet year compared to what he used to normally achieve in past years.

Not that he had a bad year because he still delivered some crazy sounds/beats for Olamide’s ‘Bugle’ and ‘Criteria’, ‘Onyeoma’ his collaboration song with Phyno, and also a number of songs on Adekunle Gold’s ‘’About 30’’ album like ‘Ire’ and ‘Money’. He also holds the production credit for the hit single of Mr Eazi’s SurrenderHowever these were not enough to see him take the number one spot of the top 10 best music producers in Nigeria 2018.

9. Rexxie

Rexxie Pon the beat has taken the Nigerian music industry by storm as he has worked with artistes like Chinko Ekun, Lil kesh & Zlatan ibile. The enigmatic producer was able to bring these three together and produce what would come to be known as a national anthem on the streets in the name of ABLE GOD.

8. Phantom

Phantom did not work on too many songs in 2018, however the few he did work on turned out to be mad hits!!!

Phantom produced what is arguably the best record in 2018 in “YE”  which won him the African producer of the year at the MVP Soundcity awards.

The soft-spoken producer/beat-maker was also the brains behind of wizkid’s master groove, another solid banger Starboy released in 2018.

7. Spellz

Spellz was introduced into the music industry as far back as 2009 when he produced the viral song, ‘Champion’ by General Pype. Ever since, he has never looked back and has been influential especially in these past few years.

In 2017 Spellz was behind outstanding hits ‘Malo’ and ‘iskaba’, in 2018 he took it a step further and produced other monster beats which resulted in records like Tiwa Savage’s ‘Lova Lova’ and ‘Tiwa’s Vibe’, ‘Askamaya’ by Teni and Mu4ty’s ‘Commando’ft Wizkid and Ceeza.

6. Sarz

Sarz has been around for a very long time and has more experience compared to anyone on this list. Sarz is usually in the forefront when it comes to delivering quality beats & sounds and has won lots of awards in previous years however this year slipped by him as he fell behind in the perking order.

That does not mean he lost his touch as he still delivered beats for some of the most energizing and entertaining songs of 2018 in chart-topping joints like ‘Energy’ by Skepta and WizkidDJ Enimoney’s ‘Diet’, the street anthem ‘Lakukulala’ by Oladips andNiniola’s ‘Bana’. So even though he is not the best music producer in 2018, he did still have an outstanding year producing beats for memorable songs that won’t be forgotten easily.

To be continued on next post.
