We alll gotta appreciate Beyonce for putting on some of our African acts on her “Lion King” album.
This is gesture that will remain in the hearts of music lovers in Africa for a very long time.
Meanwhile, we would not allow the trend of this Beyonce‘s iconic album to fade-off without reviewing the efforts two big Afro-beat exports, Wizkid and Burna Boy on the album.
Wizkid – Brown Skin Girl
In collaboration with Saint Jhn and Blue Ivy Carter, Wizkid delivered a masterpeice on the song, “Brown Skin Girl“.
Wizkid, being the lead vocal on the song, played his role well on the track, especially the way he was able to set the pace in his introductory verse for others to follow.
Burna Boy – Ja Ara E
Burna Boy was all alone on the track “Ja Ara E” on Beyonce’s “Lion King“. Could this be another proof that Burna is truly the GIANT of Africa, musically?
In as much as we would agree that Burna Boy Kinged it out among other African act on the Album for having a solo track, on the other hand, a feature of another artiste on the other side would have made the track sound better.
Truth be told, Burna Boy‘s one mopol still murdered the track.
Apparently, these two tracks are fans favourites among other songs by other African acts on the Album, but as a music lover, which would you prefer between the two songs??
