Stateside alt-pop wonder Samantha Urbani returns with fresh single ‘Exhibiting Up’.

The tune is the title song of her incoming solo album, which is slated to land by process of Lucky Number on September Twenty 2d. A trace of her ongoing Prince infatuation, it’s a slick 80s funk-pop burner that reinterprets the Crimson One’s legacy from a new vantage level.

As ever with Samantha Urbani, the songwriting is ripe with emotion, singing: “In most cases I need I had extra of a model for vengeance / In most cases I need I’d been born extra of a capitalist.”

She feedback…

”It took many iterations to gain its most remaining originate of energy, upright treasure me and somebody else who’s been thrashed round repeatedly all once more. I constantly believed in it though and at remaining re-recorded the intro verse for the interval of blending, upright as we were pondering scrapping it. Counted it in treasure Prince, and cranked up the backbeat. Rather straightforward and basic system: energy in vulnerability”.

The video for ‘Exhibiting Up’ takes Samantha from cruise to cruise, and incorporates a refined name-aid to the video for Chums’ 2011 single ‘I’m His Lady’.
