Police commissioner Muhammed Dankwara told journalists on Tuesday in Benin that the suspect’s landlord reported the case to the police.
The landlord told the police that the pupil stabbed the girl loads of times in the neck and the chest with a knife, Mr Dankwara acknowledged.
